About Floor & Furniture Repair Kit

Each of our Repair Kits contain 4x wax crayons used for repairing wood. The four colours in each kit have been carefully selected to complement each other, allowing you to make multiple repairs to any shade of wood within that colour range.

The filler sticks can be used for quickly repairing damages to surfaces such as hard wood (solid wood), soft wood, veneer, laminate, melamine, and all other types of wood.

The Repair Kit is extremely easy to use; simply select the closest colour wax crayon and rub it onto the damaged area. The wax will fill the damage instantly. If you have a darker grain in the wood, you can then rub this over to help it blend in further.

Floor & Furniture Repair Kit Instructions

Wood has two colours; a base colour and a darker grain colour. To get the best results, select a colour crayon that best matches the base colour.

Rub the wax crayon into the wood to fill the damage, then scrape away the excess using the scraper provided in the kit. Next, select a darker wax crayon that matches the grain colour and wipe over the darker colour to act as the grain. Lastly, scrape away any excess using the scraper.

Another way to replicate the grain pattern in wood is to scratch lines that mimic the grain into the base wax colour. You can do this using the scraper, or any other narrow pointed object (like a skewer or needle). When you then wipe the darker wax crayon over the base colour, it will fill the markings, making them look like the grain. Then, scrape away any excess using the scraper.

If there is any excess wax on the wood that the scraper cannot get off (sometimes it can get into small areas of grain) then you can use one of our Abrasive Pads to remove it. Just gently wipe the pad of the surface and it will remove the excess.
