We understand this, and guarantee the 100% in-house production of our restoration product range at our 50,000 sq ft factory based in beautiful County Durham.
From product R&D and testing to filling, labelling and capping, our team monitor every step of the process to guarantee our valued customers the utmost quality.
Our products are created with input from expert Leather Restorers, Upholsterers, French Polishers and more, alongside our in-house chemists, R&D experts and general boffins. They guarantee confident use on the world’s finest furniture, yet with a process that’s easily accessible by the most casual of DIY users.
No Furniture Clinic product is released without incredibly stringent testing to ensure British Standards are met, and extensive trialling by our in-house furniture restorers.
Our products are finished to meet the highest professional demands yet, packaged and designed to remain easy-to-use for every home DIY’er and hobbyist renovator.
Heritage
Since 2004, Furniture Clinic has been the natural evolution of the acclaimed skills of our founder, Keith Staerck.
For many years, Keith produced and sold wood restoration products at shows (including London’s Ideal Home Show). He also ran a furniture upcycling business, developing an excellent reputation in our field.
When we launched, our range consisted of two products: a wood restorer and a leather cleaner. Since then, our offering has grown spectacularly, and currently spans over 100 specialist products across our Leather, Wood and Fabric ranges.
For the convenience of our customers, we champion an online-first presence. In 2005, Keith’s son, Ben joined Furniture Clinic to further develop our digital presence and help us reach more customers around the world.
No other UK entity manufactures as extensive a product range as Furniture Clinic. We take great pride in this, employ over 60 staff in the UK, and support local businesses by sourcing as much of our raw materials as possible from within our shores.
Yet we are also one of America’s fastest growing companies (Inc. 5000) for the past two years, have recently established a new Hong Kong office, and foster bountiful ties with distributors all around the world.

Furniture Clinic has been invited to support many unique customer projects.
- We’ve been flown to Spain to restore the furniture on a 200m super yacht.
- We restored the leather seats in the last flying WW2 Lancaster Bomber and Spitfire, subsequently used in the fly-past of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Wedding.
- We also work closely with many car clubs to restore historic motors such as the Jaguar XJ-S of Return of the Saint fame and the Jaguar Mk II used in Inspector Morse.
Sustainability
Furniture Clinic conducts itself with a deep focus on environmental responsibility. As our products extend the life and upcycling potential of any leather, fabric or wood item, it makes sense that we do all we can to extend the life of our planet!
That’s why we use recyclable packaging, including recycled plastic and recycled board packaging.
We will continue to innovate new approaches to maximising sustainability in all we do at Furniture Clinic.
