We’re celebrating repair week 2025, inspiring the community to upcycle their belongings and reduce waste. Find out how you can get involved.
Launched in 2020 by ReLondon as part of their London Recycles Campaign, Repair Week has quickly become a nationwide celebration which focuses on upcycling and reusing items to contribute to a low carbon future.
We are passionate about leaving a positive impact on the planet, and this is at the heart of everything we do. Our products facilitate the reuse, repair, and upcycling of items at home so you can give your items a new lease of life instead of replacing them.
In providing products that enable upcycling, as well as offering repair services at our repair centres, we are encouraging individuals and households to become more environmentally conscious and participate positively to the planet’s well-being.
How you can take part in repair week 2025 (3rd – 9th March)
There’s always plenty going on at our repair branches, from leather repair and restoration to bespoke vehicle services. Our branches cover Glasgow, the North East, London, and Brighton offering a range of repairs for leather, fabric, and wood.
The Furniture Clinic North East branch have worked on an exciting project recently, revamping the worn seating in the outdoor area of a local pub. They kept the original framework and reupholstered the worn seating and back cushions. See the before and after pictures below.
We appreciate our highly skilled community of up-cyclers, and all the work they do to inspire us in our next project. See some examples of recent work from the creators on our social channels.
@emilyhouseandhome repaired the worn leather on their sofa with our Leather Repair Paint, to save money on buying a new sofa. Our leather repair paint is extremely flexible & hard wearing and can be used on all types of leather to repair scuffs, scratches, and colour loss. Watch the video to see how Leather Repair Paint works.
@lawnwallgardendesign shows us how they completely transformed their outdoor table to make it look new again. They used our Garden Furniture Restoration Kit to revive the wood and restore its original colour.
@sewlovedupholstery creates amazing pieces of furniture by taking the original frames and restoring them to like-new condition using a range of wood care products. They then reupholster the material where required, creating a whole new look.
@theplantsthebarnandthecuppa used our Leather Colourant to completely recolour the leather on this rocking chair. The chair now fits the theme of the room and has been saved from the tip.
